Have you ever wondered what visual elements you need to have in order to successfully launch a profitable virtual summit? In this post, I’m going to share with you 5 must-have visual elements to launch a successful virtual summit.
BRANDING YOUR VIRTUAL SUMMIT: This topic is something that I’m very passionate about because you’re branding and the visual elements that you use for promoting and showcasing your virtual event have the potential to either make or break your attendees’ experience, number of tickets, and sales that you can have from your event.
So today, we’re going to talk about these five visual elements and I’m going to really break it down for you. We’ll talk about what you will need to make sure that you can brand your virtual events successfully, and also make sure that this is as smooth process so you can have a successful experience with your virtual event or summit.
So, let’s go ahead and jump into our first visual element for branding your virtual event!
Your Virtual Summit Logo is very important because not only does it make your event rememberable, but it also takes your professionalism to a new level. Your logo really shows that this is a legitimate opportunity that your audience should register for. It also communicates that this is an organized event, and thoughtful planning was put into place – no throwing things together around here.
You also may be wondering – “Well, what about my summit logo brand colors? Should my colors match my current business?”
What I recommend is using the same/similar colors as your current business colors, in order to maintain brand consistency. If for some reason you decide that you want to do a different color scheme, that’s fine too. It’s not a total deal-breaker. However, maintaining consistency with your current brand is going to make it a lot easier for people to recognize you in connection with your particular event.
The second thing that you want to make sure that you have in place in terms of your visual elements is having an event registration sales page.
For your virtual event, you will want to make sure that you have a branded event sales page that you can start accepting attendees and making ticket sales. This is a very important step because, without your sales page, you won’t have any registrants for your event! In terms of what to include on this page, it should say what the event is about, what your attendees can expect, who will be speaking at this particular event, what results your audience will experience after attending, as well as any pricing information if there is a ticket cost and what next steps they can expect after purchasing and registering for the event.
In case you’re interested to take your sales page strategy a step further, I’ve also created a more in depth free guide that you can download, to start planning out the visual elements for your virtual summit!
Once you have your page built and ready to go, you will want to make sure that you can promote your event and get people registered to attend your event. You can share your promotional graphics on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, whatever social media platform that your particular audience is located in. Make sure that you share the most important details about the event and what next steps your audience can take in order to get registered.
The fourth point that I want to share with you is to make sure to use branded email content for your event. During this stage, you already have attendees registered and now you’re ready to go live with your event. You will want to send out reminders to your attendees via their email inbox; what better way to send reminders than with branded email content and graphics? It really takes the professional aspect to a new level because it shows that this is no basic email. This is an email that should be paid attention to because it contains vital information about your virtual event.
Finally the fifth visual element that I want to share with you is branded presentation slides. Having branded presentation slides partnered with your particular event might seem kind of like “Duh”… But you’d be surprised. I’ve seen presentations where one brand theme was used for one item, and then the presentation is a completely different color and it just looks so… It did not look thought through. Brand inconsistency can lead to your audience making a negative decision on whether they want to continue working with you after an online event. The reason why is because a poor design consistency can translate into a reflection of your paid products and offers. You really want to make sure to set a standard of excellence from the start, so that your audience will have a positive first impression of working with you moving forward.
And… I have a BONUS visual element that I want to share with you! This sixth visual element is making sure that you have a professional product design graphic. This is a graphic design that represents a product or resource that your attendees can purchase or gain access to. For example, if you have an up-sell for an all-access pass or possibly, you’re providing a workbook at any time throughout your event, you want to make sure that you have a mock-up or a design that is going to showcase what it is that your audience is going to receive after they decide to make that purchase.
This is really important, especially in that the context of sales psychology, because when you can give someone a visual of what they are going to receive, it really helps to speed up the buyer’s decision making process to complete a purchase.
So having a product design makes sure that you are showcasing what it is that your audience is going to get once they purchase. This is really going to be a great supporting piece for you as you are looking to increase your revenue and really profit from your particular event.
