Especially if you are a speaker in a particular niche wondering how in the world do I stand out in the online world that already has so many people looking to speak or trying to get booked for online speaking opportunities.
So I wanna share with you these solutions that I have personally done for myself as well as my clients! I know that they work, and I’m really excited to see what results you have by using the solutions that I provide in this article!
So the first thing that I want you to focus on is making sure that you have a professional and branded design.
Let’s say if you are a business owner and you’re wanting to get booked for more speaking opportunities, but your current website does not actually showcase you as the number one expert, or someone who’s even available to speak for an audience.
I want you to understand, first of all, that if you are a business owner and you’re looking to position yourself to speak in front of more audiences, you need to have a little bit of a mindset shift here by thinking about what are virtual event hosts looking for to make a clear decision on whether you are the expert that should be speaking to their audience.
When it comes to design, you want to make sure that you make a great first impression right out the door. The reason why this is so important is that everyone is trying to get booked for virtual speaking opportunities, and wanting to get seen as one of the experts who’s going to speak on panels, provide a keynote, or whatever the case may be.

Also, make sure you don’t have any icons or imagery that are not aligned with what you do, and make sure that you have colors that aren’t confusing to the audience that you’re wanting to attract.
Overall, make sure that you have a logo that looks professional, and that it actually represents you as a business owner and a speaker.
Another design element that is very important is making sure that your photos and the visual elements that are on your website look clean, crisp, professional, and isn’t something that was taken with your phone. I’m not saying that all photos that are taken with a phone look horrible because I’ve seen some really amazing photography that has been done with iPhones in addition to high-resolution cameras.
However, if you are not a professional photographer or someone who understands how to create professional headshots, I highly recommend using headshots from photos from any previous event or opportunity where you had to support an audience.
Overall, make sure you have clear colors, photos, and that everything is consistent and aligned. This is really going to take your brand to the next level, and empower you to stand out in a sea of so many other people who are looking to get booked for the same opportunities that you’re pitching for.
Another way that I want to empower you to stand out so that you can get booked for more virtual opportunities is making sure that you have a clear understanding of the speaking topics that you support your audiences with.
This is going to make event hosts’ lives a lot easier instead of them having to guess what it is that you would speak about. Moreover, have some speaking topics on your website and then support those topics with descriptions. This is good to have whenever virtual event hosts are considering to book you for their next event.
One final recommendation I would give to you is making sure that you have credibility boosters on your page to showcase that you have experience supporting various audiences. For example, make sure that you have testimonials from clients or an audience you’ve worked with before that showcase that you know what you’re talking about, and that you are an expert within your niche. This is really going to boost your credibility and show an event host that you know what you’re talking about, and that you are a well-qualified individual who can support their audience.
Overall, this is a step that you can use to really take things to the next level and make sure that you are positioning yourself to showcase the expertise that you have, as well as why you are the number one person that should get booked to speak and support their audience!
